ECU Software
Vortex develops software for programming our ECU products.
NOTE 1: If you wish to program the Vortex ECU for the EFI Bikes or Quads please order the "PROGRAMMING KIT ECU" which includes the USB Cable and the ECU Software in one kit. Purchase this kit from the Bike Model Page using the Search by Manufacturer.
NOTE 2: The ECU Software requires individual BASE MAPS for each model bike to be programmed. Each BASE MAP ordered is also associated with 9 VORTEX MAPS that are locked and not viewable. Map 10 in the set is unlocked and is the base map for that model. This base map is closely associated to the standard ECU maps.

Ignition Curve Editor (ICE) Software
NOTE: Also requires "Programming Hardware Kit (CDI)" to connect from PC to CDI
Description:
Using the windows based software is easy with only basic PC skills required. An automated setup program will load and configure the software then a simple click on the icon will have it up and running in minutes. Editing a timing curve with the on screen graph is as easy as pressing the arrow keys on the keyboard. Included in the ICE software is an extensive library of standard timing curves / maps for all supported bike models (over 100), which gives first time user a valuable starting platform to develop from. Being able to overlay up to 7 colored curves allows timing comparisons between bike models and curves or maps previously saved. This overlay feature is a must when carrying out back to back comparisons or to record curve changes versus dyno readings or rider feedback. A description field is available for each saved curve to record various parameters applicable to that curve, for example date, time, jetting spec, temperature, customer name etc. Fully featured high resolution 3D mapping configurable with 8 curves per map assigned anywhere at throttle openings from 0-100%. This flexibility giving unrestricted map design which allows the concentration of curves in the map to areas of throttle opening that achieve the greatest results. Fuel metering can be controlled via the Power Jet control with up to 2 ON/OFF points throughout the RPM range. Programming of up to 10 maps allow the tuner to develop up to 10 switchable settings, which can be configured to be selected via the X10 Switch or the Handlebar Switch or both. This allows back to back testing on the track or dyno either a real time comparison or the ability for the rider to change engine performance characteristic to suit various changing conditions encountered. Virtually unlimited number of proprietary curves, can be saved to the library, then previewed or recalled to be edited or programmed into a Vortex Performance CDI.
